Smart Alarm on iPhone & Android Devices

The co-founder of Zazu, first approached us with a project, a mash-up application which combines several different services from already existing applications. He hoped in combining these services, creating one very useful application instead of having to use several different apps. The app is for mobile devices with mobile functionalities and on-the-go features. In which we're also responsible in not just working on the mobile device application but also involved in developing the backend services using Ruby On Rails for this application as well.

The app, now called Zazu Mornings, "mashes up" several online utilities one might need when they wake up in the morning. So instead of having to sit at your computer and open several pages to update you each morning, Zazu displays updates on its dashboard from your calendar, the news, and the local weather. So what’s so unique you ask? Other than it’s easy to read presentation, Zazu mornings’ most important tool is its alarm. A regular alarm goes off, and offers you two options: Off or Snooze. Well, Zazu offers you an additional option “read news”. When the alarm goes off and you press this button, using text to speech technology, it will read you the news as you get up and commence your morning routine.

Its dashboard provides a personalized experience because of its integrations with user’s Google and Facebook accounts. It also shows a localized weather forecast throughout the day. Even the news feed is personalized, as user is given the option to choose what news they would shown and read to them.
