Groupon business model is soon imitated (creatively) by other entrepreneurs. We had a chance to build a site similar to Groupon in 2010 with these interesting features
- Mailchimp API integration for sending subscribed newsletters
- Users can post to a Facebook wall, and Admin can post information to Facebook fans page.
- Posting tweets using twitter4R gem
- Wirecard payment integration using ActiveMerchant plugin
- Using Gmap to show business locations
- And Cucumber for BDD
